75th Anniversary of D-Day Symposium
Over 200 people attended the Symposium co-sponsored with the Eisenhower Institute at Gettysburg College and the Eisenhower National Historic Site. Guest speakers Susan Eisenhower, Craig Symonds and John McManus presented talks and filmmaker George Colburn previewed a rough cut of his new documentary. Everyone enjoyed a continental breakfast and lunch at the college’s Atrium. A panel discussion ended the formal program. Guest speakers signed books and 55 attendees opted for the tour of the Eisenhower National Historic Site. Each registrant received a gift bag with symposium-related items. The Eisenhower Society provided a transcript of our former Chairman of the Board, Major General J. Milnor Roberts recounting his experience as a young officer landing on Omaha Beach. Fortunately, C-Span filmed the program. If you missed it or want to see it again, check the listings for C-Span 3.
