We’ve had a lot of fun together and truly enjoy sharing our events.
Each year after we celebrate our annual picnic, we will post the pictures from that event on this page.
(NOTE: There was no picnic in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic)

2024 Picnic Photo Gallery
Three guests got holes in one at the putting contest. A putt-off was held. Steve and Kathy gave him a run for the money, but Buzz, pictured on the right, was the winner.
Board Chairman Walt Jones welcomed everyone to the picnic while Executive Director Carol Hegeman looked on.
In keeping with our theme of Ike and Mamie in Paris, Vanessa Rice played music from those time periods during dinner.
Vice President Ruthmary McIlhenny thanks picnic and door prize sponsors,. She also introduced Eisenhower and Gettysburg Superintendent Kristina Heister, Site Manager Jana McCabe. and the Eisenhower Site interns. Then Carol provided Triavia answers and awards.
Vocalist Ernie Kranias and pianist Vanessa Rice presented songs about Paris and some of Ike’s favorites.

President John Burt presents the putting contest award to Doug, who was the only person to sink his putt.
Baritone Wayne Hill accompanied by Jonathan Noel sings some of the Eisenhowers’ favorite songs from the early 1920s and before. The Eisenhowers quarters were always referred to as Club Eisenhower as after pot luck dinners, they would gather around the piano with their friends and sing favorite songs. Wayne sang some of their favorites.

The friendly Ragged Edge catering staff served our meals. New this year, Jake made chicken in Ike’s barbecue sauce.
The Buzz Jones Quartet provided 1950s music from the Bossa Nova Revolution to early Rock and Roll to Cool Jazz.
