Previous Christmas Seasons
Each December the Eisenhower Home is decorated for the holidays. Fortunately, the National Park Service has family recollections and oral history interviews to capture Mamie Eisenhower’s style of decorating. Poinsettias, greens and a large Christmas tree grace the living room, a jolly five-foot Santa lights a corner of the porch and the dining room table is set for Christmas dinner with Mrs. Eisenhower’s Christmas china and sterling silver. All is made more festive as the Eisenhower’s Christmas records play softly in the background.
In December 2016, the Eisenhower Society held a Christmas at the Farm evening reception and tour. Our thanks to Brown Advisory for sponsoring this event. Whether you have an opportunity to attend an Eisenhower Society event at the farm at Christmas or visit with your family and friends, you will enjoy the ambiance of “An Eisenhower Christmas.”
